Who Are The Enviro Champs
Enviro Champs is a system to engage with community members to help with monitoring problems especially related to water in their communities. The Digital Initiative is adding digital innovations to this initiative by development of a mobile app to facilitate geo-referenced data gathering and also to assist with training.
(1628) How to calculate the miniSASS score
miniSASS is a widely recognised method to assess the health of a river by analysis of the invertebrates that live on the river bottom. Designed to be implemented by citizens including school children, the Digital Initiative is adding modern applications such as a mobile app to help with identification of the invertebrates, that also analyses the presence of these bugs and uploads the data to the miniSASS website.
